Checkout identifies whether PayPal is in live or Sandbox mode. Live purchases charge real money. PayPal processes payments, Shippo supplies shipping rates, Washington's Department of Revenue supplies Washington tax rates, and Resend sends order and shipping emails. Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement are available on replacementcases.com with your separate permission for each. It is disabled on our private preview. Abandoned-cart emails are not enabled.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to ReplacementCases.com and customer communications with Replacement Cases. It does not govern a third party’s independent website, app, or service.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Search terms, including case format, disc count, or product details you enter.
- Contact information and the content of messages you send to customer support.
- When checkout is enabled, order, billing, shipping, and transaction information needed to complete and support your purchase.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, approximate region, timestamps, and security logs.
- Cart product identifiers and quantities stored locally in your browser. For signed-in customers, cart contents, account identity, and cart activity times are saved in the private store database for cart recovery and abandoned-cart tracking.
- Cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for security, site operation, and—only if introduced with appropriate notice—analytics or preference storage.
3. Search, cart, and preview forms
Search and the Case Finder use ordinary catalog filters. The cart stores product identifiers and quantities in this browser so your selections survive navigation and reloads. Remove cart items to clear them, or clear this site’s browser storage. Signed-in customers can restore their saved carts on the cart page. A cart becomes abandoned after one hour without a cart update or cart/checkout visit. The store admin can view saved carts and whether they led to an order. Recovery emails are not sent.
Submitted account details, password hashes, shipping addresses, and orders are saved in the private store database when hosted online, or on the computer running a local preview. Order and shipping notifications use Resend. Live order notifications go to the customer email address; test notifications go only to the store owner. Sign-in uses a necessary session cookie that expires after eight hours or when you sign out. Passwords are not stored as readable text. Live checkout uses PayPal. No card-entry fields are provided by this site.
4. How we use information
- Provide product matching, shopping support, cart, checkout, order fulfillment, returns, and customer service.
- Confirm availability, prevent fraud and abuse, secure the site, and troubleshoot errors.
- Comply with tax, accounting, recordkeeping, legal, and regulatory obligations.
- Improve products and the shopping experience using aggregated or de-identified information where practical.
- Measure which ads lead to purchases when you allow ad measurement.
- Send marketing communications only where permitted and provide a way to unsubscribe.
Google Analytics, Google Ads, and cookie choices
Website analytics and ad measurement are separate, optional choices. If you allow Website analytics, Google Analytics measures visits, traffic sources, product views, items added to the cart, checkout starts, and completed live purchases. Analytics can receive a browser identifier, IP address, device information, page paths, campaign tags, referring website, product identifiers and quantities, purchase values, and a unique transaction identifier. Our events exclude customer names, email addresses, shipping addresses, payment credentials, account and reset links, free-text searches, and checkout tokens. We do not measure admin pages or general account pages. If you allow analytics, our package-insert invitation and My Coupons flow records campaign visits, signup starts, successful signups, sign-ins, coupon claims and views, shopping clicks and checkout. The invitation token and personal form contents are excluded. We use a random session identifier to deduplicate consented invitation visits, retaining it on the server for up to 30 days. Offer claims retain their campaign source with your account so we can administer the first-order discount and report later direct purchases; this does not require marketing email consent. Automatic form, search, outbound-link, download, video, and scroll measurement is disabled. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled.
On replacementcases.com, Google Ads loads only after you allow ad measurement. It may use advertising cookies, ad-click identifiers, page addresses, IP address, and browser/device information to attribute purchases to ads. For a completed live payment, we send the product subtotal, USD currency, and a unique transaction identifier. We do not send your name, email, shipping address, or payment credentials in our conversion event. Enhanced conversions using customer contact details and personalized advertising are disabled in this implementation.
Choose Essential only to decline both, or choose Website analytics and/or Ad measurement and save your choices. Use Cookie preferences in the footer to change them at any time. Declining does not affect shopping or checkout. We honor Global Privacy Control by disabling both optional measurement categories. Your choice is saved in this browser for up to 180 days. We also keep up to 200 non-identifying transaction IDs per measurement service locally to avoid reporting the same purchase repeatedly. You can remove these records by clearing this site’s browser storage. Google has its own retention policies; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
6. Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including order support, tax and accounting requirements, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Account, cart, and order records are stored in the private store database. Unsaved form entries disappear when you leave their page. Hosting and security logs may be retained separately for operational needs.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use the site with appropriate care.
7. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about the categories of data we collect and disclose; to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; and to appeal a denied request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Because we do not currently sell or share personal information for behavioral advertising, there is no sale or sharing to opt out of. If that changes, we will add the required controls and honor legally recognized opt-out signals where applicable.
8. Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 should not submit personal information. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without required consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site, service providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice or consent where required. We review this policy when changing our services or data uses.
